Maastricht, 24-25 November 2016: Managing Risks in Public Finances – What to Do and How to Do It

When resources available for public sector bodies are limited it is even more important to manage them effectively. Financial and operational risks can arise across the entire public financial management cycle i.e. budgeting, the execution of budgets and the delivery of services.

This workshop uses EPSA cases to share experiences about public sector budgeting, financial management and management of the delivery of public services.

Maastricht, 29-30 November 2016: Public Sector Budgeting for Service Delivery: What to Do and How to Do It

Budgets are the means by which a public sector body expresses its priorities. Making budget choices which reflect objectives is vital for public officials, particularly in hard economic times.

This workshop uses several EPSA cases to share experiences about how choices can be made in public sector budgeting and how they are linked to the delivery of public services.

Barcelona (ES), 1-2 December 2016: Annual Public Sector Innovation Lab: Innovation Updates, Business Cases and Practical Tools

EIPA Barcelona invites you to its annual PSI lab, which will pave the way towards more strategic and systematic approaches to innovation. This year it will include leading-edge methods such as behavioural insights, co-creation and design-thinking for innovative policy-making and improved public services, the reform potential of digital technologies and open data as well as the building of (local) innovation systems and its management.

This seminar counts on exciting speakers and facilitators from the European Commission, Nesta, Barcelona Design Centre and Gartner. In addition, EPSA cases will be used to underline the innovation potential of the public sector.
